What Should You Read Next in 2022?
Here are my personal recommendations!
If you’re anything like me, you stopped reading in 2020.
The stress and uncertainty of the pandemic, U.S. political turmoil, and everything else biblically catastrophic which happened that year made reading impossible for me. Instead, I resorted to watching The Little Mermaid and Sleeping Beauty repeatedly on Disney+.
In 2021, I began reading in bits and pieces again. I never finished a book, however. As we enter 2022, I feel like I’m getting my reading mojo back. Whoop whoop!
In celebration, I found this cool online platform called Bookshop.org that lets individual writers and authors, like me, curate lists of our book recommendations. So … I set up my own curated lists, just for you!
Whether you’re looking to read a book that’s dystopian, contemporary, memoir, thriller, or suspense, I got you covered! Best of all, you can purchase your next read straight from one of my curated lists.
I have read every book on these lists, and I only recommend what I believe is worth the time.
Please know that I may receive a small commission if you choose to purchase a book from one of my curated lists. However, I received no incentive to read and recommend these books.
In fact, some of these books have shaped me as a writer and storyteller. So check them out, and Happy Reading, friends!
Shari, I've read 3 books on your list. I recently finished Someone to Watch Over Me by Dan Bronson. He was my brother-in-law's roommate at Pomona College in the 1960s and taught two years at Prescott College. Set in Hollywood in 1947, the novel is film noirish with a snarky tone.
