A Magazine Interviewed Me, It Was Cool
Find out where to read the full story
A few weeks ago, an email came through my inbox requesting an interview for an online magazine called Shoutout Arizona.
Someone wanted to interview me? Just because?
This had never happened before. Any media coverage about me came from my efforts to market my book, The Apollo Illusion, when it first published in 2018.
However, now some reporter was randomly emailing me to request an interview. I had not done anything new or exciting in the past two years, other than survive a virus that attacked my brainstem, and then survive while a different virus attacked the world.
What would I say?
What did they want to know?
Most importantly, how did they hear about me and why did they care?
Unsure, because this was seriously new territory for me (I never thought of myself as “in” enough to interview), I took the dive and granted the interview. I never found out how they heard about me, or why they cared. I went with it, anyway.
For once, I wasn’t the one writing the story. A magazine interviewed me, and it felt pretty cool!
A few weeks later, on September 7, my article in Shoutout Arizona published and this was the result:
I speak loud but don't shout.
